Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information SooKOOBE ("we", "us") collects when you use sookoobe.com and the SooKOOBE app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including exporting or deleting your data yourself, anytime, without asking us.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, and optionally your name, username, job title, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Content you create: tasks, routines, projects, notes, journal entries, finance accounts and transactions, learning and Quran-reading progress, goals, habits, and anything else you enter into the app. This is yours — we store it so the app can show it back to you, nothing more.
• AI conversations: if you use SooKOOBE AI or Ask SooKOOBE, your messages and the relevant context needed to answer them (e.g. your tasks, if you ask about your day) are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate a response. We don't use your conversations to train any AI model.
• Support requests: if you contact support or open a ticket (with or without an account), we keep the messages, your name/email, and any file you attach, so we can help you and so you can see the reply.
• Payment information: if you upgrade to a paid plan, your payment is handled directly by our payment processor (Sifalo Pay) — we never see or store your card, mobile money, or wallet details. We keep a record of the transaction reference, amount, and plan purchased.
• Technical & usage data: IP address (used for abuse/rate-limit prevention on guest features, and briefly by our hosting provider), browser/device type, and general usage analytics (page views, feature usage) via Google Analytics — see Section 5.

3. How we use it

To run the app (show you your own data, send the notifications and emails you'd expect — welcome emails, password resets, support replies), to respond to support requests, to process payments and activate your plan, to keep the guest Help Center and forms safe from abuse (rate limiting), and to understand in aggregate how the app is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your personal content to train AI models or show you ads.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run SooKOOBE, each only for the specific job below — never a wholesale data dump:

• Google — sign-in (if you use it), and Gemini for AI features, and Google Analytics for usage stats.
• Sifalo Pay — processes payments for paid plans; they see what a payment processor needs to see, we don't.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (welcome, password reset, ticket replies, notifications).
• Vercel — hosts the app and stores uploaded files (avatars, attachments).
• Neon — hosts our database.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the security of SooKOOBE or its users.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall usage (which pages are visited, roughly how often) — it does not identify you by name. Analytics cookies only load after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. We also use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (keeping you signed in, remembering your theme preference) that aren't optional, since the app can't function without them.

6. Your data, your control

From Settings, at any time, without contacting us:

• Export a full copy of your account data as a JSON file.
• Delete your account and everything in it, permanently — this can't be undone.

You can also correct your profile information (name, email, photo) yourself from Settings at any time.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. All traffic to SooKOOBE is encrypted (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us right away.

8. Children

SooKOOBE is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use SooKOOBE after a change means you accept the updated policy.
